Box Template Lab is an independent project that helps you turn a set of measurements into a paper box with a separate lid.

One useful shape, two ways to start

Enter your own dimensions in the generator, or choose a ready-sized printable. The generator calculates the flat pattern and creates PDF and SVG files in your browser. The printable library uses the same measurements and geometry.

What the tool checks

The generator checks dimensions and whether each PDF pattern fits the selected paper at its original size. It keeps the base and lid on separate pages and adds a 50 mm scale line. If the pattern is too large, it asks you to change the size or use SVG with a larger sheet.

What still needs a real test

Dimensions are measured between fold lines. Paper thickness, scoring and glue affect the finished inside space and lid fit. Digital scale checks do not prove physical assembly. These templates have not yet been physically assembled in our testing, and cutting-machine compatibility is unverified.

Use the tool for small paper projects and test a sample before making a batch. It does not supply production packaging specifications.
